We have invited thefamily over for an Advent Coffee on this coming Sunday. One of the things I want to prepared are Gingerbread Cupcakes with Cinnamon Whipped Cream Icing, each topped with a mini-Gingerbread boy.
So the first thing to do is bake the little cookies.
The dough got made and then stuck in the fridge.
There was more than enough dough so I also made a herd of reindeer.
Oops! These guys turned out too dark and crunchy.
So did the reindeer.
Just turn the oven down a bit and bake them not quite so long, then all is fine:

Also made some shooting stars, a traditional German shape.
Now for a cup of “Wintertime” herbal tea from my Santa Claus teapot and some of the overly-done cookies.
And that is a great combination!
